Alyssa I. Agard

CEO, Chair & President of the Board

Alyssa is the founder of Agard Research Associates Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President. As a policy-focused researcher with a foundation in behavioral science and history, Alyssa leads the organization's strategic direction, research agenda, and operational development. In addition, Alyssa is highly proficient in multiple programming languages such as python, ArcGIS, and STATA. Her work is informed by hands-on experience in special education, mental health, policy analysis, and systems-level advocacy. Alyssa’s vision centers on integrating neuroscience with real-world interventions to promote ethical, inclusive, and sustainable practices across institutions.

Frederick Brutto Jr.

Secretary-Treasurer of the Board, Designated Copyright Agent (DCA)

Frederick contributes to the board as the secretary-treasurer. Brutto Jr. is responsible for maintaining accurate organizational records and financial documentation while providing guidance on compliance, governance, and public engagement strategy. With a background in business analysis and finance, he ensures that Agard Research Associates Inc. adheres to ethical standards and aligns its goals with regulatory frameworks. His expertise strengthens the organization’s infrastructure and helps secure its long-term impact and sustainability.

Shruthi Nandakumar

Director of Research & Programs, Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Shruthi serves as the director of research and programs, and as the Data Protection Officer at Agard Research Associates Inc., where she brings her expertise in neuroscience and cognitive psychology. She oversees the design and development of interdisciplinary research projects, ensuring scientific rigor and innovation. Her leadership supports the organization’s goal of producing translational research that informs both clinical understanding and social application, particularly in areas related to resilience, cognition, and mental health.
